Program Goals
When children graduate from our program and go on to kindergarten, they will be able to communicate well verbally and will be beginning to read and write. They will have an understanding of the properties of numbers. Children will be able to function independently throughout the daily routine, and participate successfully in a group setting with empathy. They will be perceptive and observant, have a working understanding of cause and effect, solve
simple problems, and ask great questions. Graduates will also exhibit creativity and have a deep appreciation of the natural world. All in all, children who go through our program will have experienced the rich childhood that all children should experience, and enter kindergarten with the skills, smarts and love of learning that they need to succeed.
We educate children about the importance of healthy eating and exercise through age-appropriate lessons and discussions. The Children learn about the benefits of nutritious foods for their bodies, as well as the importance of staying active for overall health and well-being. We empower children to make healthy choices and understand how their lifestyle habits impact their bodies and minds.
The teachers at Kinder Island bring the tenets of our philosophy alive in the classroom through their knowledge of development and educational practices. Our teachers develop meaningful relationships with the children, and observe the children closely in order to determine what they already know and what unique skills that child brings to the classroom. The teachers then curate the learning experience for each child through the preparation of the classroom environment and learning experiences. Our teachers challenge each child so that they may develop new skills and broaden their knowledge.

Our endeavor is to cater to diverse learning styles and preferences among children. Some may thrive through tactile experiences, while others may prefer visual or auditory stimuli. By offering a variety of sensory-rich activities. Kinder Island actively accommodates the needs and preferences of all learners, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to flourish.
Toddlers

Development in toddlers is an exciting and crucial aspect of their overall growth. At this age, children are beginning to understand more about themselves and the world around them. With our teachers guiding hands offering endless opportunities for children to develop across the six domains. Addressing these six domains of development: social-emotional, sensory, motor, cognitive, language, and self-care. Ensures that children receive a complete education that nurtures their overall well-being and growth. While our children immerse themselves through play. Learning how to socialize and express their own personal preferences. We create fun and detailed activities that cater to the world around us. At Kinder Island, we believe each of these domains is interconnected, and by focusing on all aspects of development. We dynamically immerse our children with a learning experience that prepares them for their next steps in their personal and academic future.
Preschool
Ages 3-4
Our preschool program is a crucial stepping stone in your child's development and academic journey. Providing a foundation for future learning and development. At Kinder Island we believe that by engaging in play-based learning. Our preschoolers express their desires, curiosities, and world viewed experiences. Our play-based curriculum incorporates hands-on activities, exploration, and discovery. Early exposure to literacy sets the stage for future academic success. Activities that promote language acquisition, such as storytelling, singing, and reading aloud are just a few ways we bring language and literacy interests to life. Through interconnected modalities in play, we introduce your young learner to Math and Science Exploration. Developing a foundation in these subjects. Some activities may include counting, sorting, measuring, and simple S.T.E.M experiments. Children thrive when given opportunities for creative expression. It is our belief that art, music, and dramatic play activities that allow children to express themselves creatively and their imaginations; Provide the best opportunities for children to open up and let those around them in. creating fundamentals that not only challenge the struggles of social dynamics between teacher and student, but also peer to peer engagement and socialization.

To say I love this daycare would be a massive understatement. We left a prior daycare due to a negative experience and I was very nervous and suspicious of a new school and new caregivers. My son has been here a year now and he is thriving beyond my wildest dreams. They have such an enriching curriculum for all ages. Sensory activities, educational experiences and extracurriculars like gym class and soccer. I think 2 year olds in a gym class might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. But the best part by far is how much kindness, support, and love he receives from the entire staff. This is hands down the best daycare in Staten Island. Probably better than most in NYC.

The thought of sending my 2-year-old to school full time after spending nearly every day together was very upsetting; however, after touring the school with the school's creator, Yelena, I no longer felt upset, I was excited. The school was extremely clean, the decor modern and calming, the menu healthy and diverse, and Yelena so passionate about her school, knowledgeable about child development, and warm. The whole environment is incredibly welcoming. Matthew's teachers are incredible - they are kind and patient and I know they care deeply about my child. They also post pictures throughout the day on the school's app. I could go on. I simply could not recommend this school more highly.

I love Kinder Island! I have been sending my oldest to Kinder Island since he was one. From the first day he attended, the teachers and administration made us feel so welcomed and part of their community. Every day he comes home and talks non stop about his teachers, classmates, and all the fun he had. Once I had my second child, I knew exactly where I wanted her to go when I felt she was ready for school. Mr. Adam Frank, the director of the school. Welcomes every parent and child with lots of love and compassion. He always takes time in his busy day to talk to all of us like family. No matter what concern any of us (the parent) have. Mr. Frank always tends to our concerns and puts 100% of his efforts in making sure we are heard, and that our children are being nutured to grow and learn. It has really made the experience of bringing my children to school all the better. The school is very clean which was a big concern for me. Looking back at other locations I toured, this location is the only one that I can say for certain was immaculate.

My son has been going to Kinder Island for a little over a month now and he’s acclimating very nicely. The teachers are so nice and communicative through their Famly app and they take such good care of him. They take pictures and videos to send throughout the day, and have fun themed events for the kids to interact and encourage community bonding. It’s a beautiful, clean facility and I feel relieved to see my son having so much fun while I’m at work!

Absolutely thrilled with this school! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and a genuine sense of care. My daughter has been at Kinder Island for about two years & I couldn't say enough how wonderful this place is. All of the teachers have been caring, patient and loving with my daughter since day one. The assistant principal, Mr. Adam, is always available to address any concerns with my daughter and has been putting a great amount of effort to develop a sense of community among the school through various family events. What sets this school aside from others is also the option of enrolling your child in classes such as dance, soccer and gym... all provided while they're in school. In addition, this was the CLEANEST and most organized daycare that I visited ( & I toured about 6 on Staten island before making a decision)

The teachers are great with them. They always have fun activities and my son has learned a lot over this past year. Not only is the place so cute, but it is always very clean.
